Meet Michaela…

Michaela is a dancer, actor, and creator born in Rochester, New York. She began her dance career at age five and quickly shifted to only train in Classical Ballet. In middle school she decided to dance competitively so she joined a competition studio and changed course- training in Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. She has a passion for theatre and participated in countless local productions often as a featured dancer, dance captain, and as student choreographer in her high schools musical. In college she continued to train in Ballet, was a member and choreographer for the student dance club and was dance captain for musical productions. 

Michaela loves sharing her light with students and has worked with children for over a decade in different capacities as a Swim Instructor, Ski Instructor, Children's Theatre Choreographer and now Dance Teacher! She currently works as a substitute teacher at the Fairport Central School District. 

She earned her BA in Acting & Directing in 2020 then went abroad to continue her training earning an apprenticeship at the prestigious Michael Chekhov Studio in Berlin, Germany. She does commercial, film, and performance work across Upstate New York and is an active artist in Rochester's vibrant theatre scene. She is very grateful for the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students. Her favorite styles are Jazz, Lyrical, and of course, Musical Theatre.
